The project aims to focus on the integration of practical experience with the effective dissemination of lessons learned and good practices. Disability is considered as a matter of human rights that affects different sectors and requires adoption of multi-sectoral approach. Accordingly,the participation of Disabled People’s Organizations (DPOs) in policy formulation and reform process across all sectors is equally important as stipulated in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) (Articles 4,29,3,32 and 33).
The lessons learned focus on success factors/ challenges which in turn generate additional knowledge on how to design and implement future projects related to supporting Disabled People’s Organizations (DPOs) in the region.
