"We're Afraid for Their Future": Barriers to Education for Syrian Refugee Children in Jordan

Summary

As of the time of writing of the report,one in three Syrian refugees in Jordan were school-aged,yet more than one-third of this school-aged population had not received a formal education in the past year. This report describes many of the barriers facing Syrian refugees seeking and education in Jordan,including Jordan's school registration policies,inadequate mental health resources,harassment,and economic barriers. The report ends with a number of recommendations to Jordanian policy makers and international donors.
