The report examines legal, administrative and institutional measures concerning migrant workers’ access to complaints mechanisms and justice, working conditions, recruitment, labour inspection, social protection, discrimination, trade union representation and collective bargaining. It also addresses legal protection for refugees and asylum-seekers, registration and documentation, non-refoulement, access to education and public services, and livelihood opportunities.
The assessment identifies partial progress in implementing several recommendations supported by Jordan, alongside continuing gaps in legislative safeguards, effective access to rights, availability of disaggregated data and measurement of practical outcomes. It distinguishes between recommendations supported and noted by Jordan and provides recommendation assessment tables and priority actions to strengthen protection and support continued monitoring.
