The annual report summarizes and evaluates the humanitarian and developmental assistance of the UNICEF Jordan Country Office (JCO) in 2012. The report also includes evaluation of the ongoing projects such as providing humanitarian aid for Syrian refugees in camps and host communities;; establishing foster care programme for children deprived of parental care;; and supporting advocacy work on children’s rights to education and women empowerment. The analysis of the report is based on the progress and assessment of the JCO’s projects in partnership with other organizations in relevant fields. In the report;; the limited capacity and number of social workers and lack of technical support from the government in budgeting and social policy reforms are identified as major obstacles.

تعتبر هذه الدراسة مبادرة للإسهام في توفير قاعدة معرفية أكثر علمية للنظم والممارسات السائدة في القطاع العام بشأن عمليات دمج النوع الاجتماعي وآلياتها;; إضافة إلى أناه تسعى إلى القضاء على كافة أشكال التمييز ضد المرأة وتحقيق مشاركة فعالة لها تضمن لها حق العمل وااتخاذ القرار وتحقيق فرص متساوية ومتكافئة بين الجنسين بحيث تتلائم وطبيعة أدوارهم واحتياجاتهم. واعتمدت الدراسة على اسلوب المقابلات الفردية شبه المهيكلة والمقابلات الجماعية المركزة;; وتكون مجتمع الدراسة من الموظفين والموظفات العاملين في وزارة العمل والمديريات التابعة لها فيالمحافظات والبالغ عددهم 634.

The report is a Jordan country profile of the Regional Water Governance Benchmarking Project (ReWaB) and the results assessment of the project. The ReWaB is a project that aims to establish a system of water governance capacity and performance benchmarking for Middle East and North Africa countries. The report resents the projects' approach to water governance benchmarking;; brief overview of the political;; economic;; and social situation in Jordan;; the country's water availability;; and it also outlines the main users and managers of Jordan's limited water resources and identifies relevant trans boundary issues. With a description of the main actors in Jordan's water governance and their influence on functional performance;; the report presents and discusses the main findings of the Policy and Legal Analysis and the expert-based assessment;; which gauged the functional effectiveness of the Jordanian water sector and application of good governance processes in water-related decision-making. The report concludes by highlighting Jordan's organizing and building capacity and strategic planning in policy documents. It also notes areas with potential challenges such as the broad function of allocating water and mechanisms for water trades and complimentary conflict mitigation.

بعد الفرار من العنف والاضطهاد في العراق;; فإن مئات الآلاف من العراقيين الذين يعيشون في الأردن يواجهون تهديداً يومياً للإعتقال والغرامات والترحيل وذلك لأن الحكومة الأردنية تعاملهم معاملة المهاجرين غير الشرعيين بدلاً من معاملتهم كلاجئين. منذ بدء الحرب في العراق في عام 2003;; نزح أكثر من مليون عراقي من بلدهم طلباً للجوء من البلدان المجاورة;; إلا أنه لا يوجد أي من الدول المجاورة للعراق;; ولا الولايات المتحدة;; يعاملونهم كلاجئين. وهذا التقرير يلقي الضوء على محنة اللاجئين العراقيين (والتماس الحلول له) وهي مسؤوليةً مشتركة بين الأردن والدول المجاورة والمجتمع الدولي.

جاءت هذه الدراسة لغايات تسليط الضوء على واقع إدماج النوع الاجتماعي على الصعيدين المؤسسي والتشريعي في وزارة العمل الأردنية. ولتحقيق ذلك استخدمت الدراسة أسلوب البحث النوعي من خلال إجراء المقابلات المعمقة مع عدد من موظفي وموظفات الوزارة والمديريات التابعة لها في محافظات المملكة المختلفة لتمثل الاقاليم الثلاث (الشمال والوسط والجنوب). إذ بلغ عدد المستجيبين (30) موظفاً وموظفة تم اختيارهم باستخدام أسلوب العينة القصدية الطبقية;; كما تم استخدام أسلوب تحليل المضمون لغايات دراسة وتحليل مجموعة التشريعات المطبقة في الوزارة .

The migrant worker in Jordan situation report was issued in 2009. It presents an overview of the situation of migrant workers in Jordan and the main violations they are subject to. Additionally;; the report offers recommendations to national and international parties concerned with the migrant workers' rights.

يهدف هذا التقرير إلى تقديم قراءة تقييمية لواقع الصحة والسلامة المهنية في بيئة الأعمال الأردنية;; تتضمن قراءة في التشريعات الأردنية الخاصة بالصحة والسلامة المهنية;; إلى جانب استعراض لأبرز المعايير الدولية ذات العلاقة;; إضافة إلى تقديم قراءة لمدى موائمة التشريعات الأردنية مع المعايير الدولية في هذا المجال;; كما اعتمد التقرير في منهجيته على تحليل البيانات الاحصائية المتاحة حول الصحة والسلامة المهنية واصابات العمل;; وكما تم اجراء مقابلات مع بعض رؤساء النقابات العمالية;; وذلك إلى جانب مراجعة المعلومات والأخبار الصحية التي تناولت هذا الموضوع. ويقدم التقرير مجموعة من التوصيات التي من شأنها تحسين شروط الصحة والسلامة المهنية للعاملين في الأردن.
