Promoting Productive Employment and Decent Work for Women in Egypt, Jordan and Palestine
UN Women and International Labour Organization are implementing a multi-country programme to promote decent employment opportunities for women in Egypt, Jordan, and Palestine by addressing the structural causes of inequalities that women face in the region. While this programme aims to tackle common issues across countries, it will do so by taking into consideration country context specificities. The multi-country programme seeks to address barriers through a comprehensive approach that works both at the macro, meso and micro levels, aiming to enhance productive employment and decent work for women in the region by promoting equitable laws and policies, engaging public, private and community actors, and reducing the uneven burden of unpaid care work. The program will be locally adapted by programme partners and build on global strategies and lessons learned.
