Migration and the Post-2015 Development Agenda - Policy Brief PDF file screenshot
Summary

This policy brief, published by the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA),summarizes the record on references to migration in development agendas pursued by the United Nations, before going on to examine how the various processes and actors involved in the discussions and negotiations over the future development agenda beyond 215 have conceptualized migration. The report then presents suggestions for how to integrate migration into development agendas; indicates to what extent these ideas are relevant to Arab countries; and suggests how Arab countries can ensure that the post-215 development framework captures the reality of migration’s impact on their development.
