أُجري هذا التقرير على مدار أربعة أشهر في لبنان والأردن;; ويركز على التحديات المؤلمة التي تواجه أطفال اللاجئين السوريين كل يوم. والهدف من هذا التقرير هو إعداد تقرير قائم على الأدلة من زاوية إنسانية;; تستهدف قاعدة عريضة من الجماهير لرفع الوعي بشأن التحديات التي تواجه حماية الأطفال;; وإعطاء فكرة عن كيفية استجابة وكالة الأمم المتحدة وشركائها;; وتسليط الضوء على بعض الفجوات التي تتطلب اهتماماً عاجلاً من جانب المجتمع الدولي. وتم اعتماد منهجية تتألف من مراجعة مكتبية للتقارير والتقييمات القائمة;; إلى جانب جمع البيانات وإجراء بحث ميداني في كل من المواقع الحضرية والريفية وفي المخيمات. وقد تم جمع المعلومات من خلال مناقشات مجموعة التركيز والمقابلات التي أجريت مع الأطفال اللاجئين وعائلاتهم;; إلى جانب اللاجئين العاملين مع الأطفال داخل مجتمعاتهم وموظفي المفوضية وغيرها من المنظمات العاملة مع الأطفال اللاجئين.

This study analyzes the food markets of Jordan;; Syria;; Lebanon;; Palestine;; Iran;; Iraq;; and Yemen (ME-ODC Countries);; to better understand their dynamics;; particularly in light of the sudden flare in food prices.

The migrant worker in Jordan situation report was issued in 2009. It presents an overview of the situation of migrant workers in Jordan and the main violations they are subject to. This paper aims at shedding light on the labor rights in Jordan;; particularly for those who are working in the informal sector;; through identifying the factors that impede them from enjoying such rights and;; thus;; coming up with the appropriate recommendations in this area.

The report aims to address the particular needs and cultural dynamics of Syrian refugees residing in Jordan;; especially with regards gender-based violence and child protection issues. It presents a comprehensive range of perspectives from urban Syrian refugees and local Jordanian decision makers in government;; community-based organizations and the religious and education sectors. The assessment of this report is based on data collected through three methodologies including questionnaire survey to refugees outside the Za’atari refugee camp;; focus group discussions in regions across Jordan and in-depth interviews. Key findings of the report are 1. The rates of early marriage are high;; 2. A significant percentage of children contribute to the household’s income and 3. Restrictions on women and girls’ mobility constrain their participation in social and economic activities and access to basic services. The report recommends measures to prevent acts of sexual exploitation and abuse and ensure the needs of the most vulnerable members of the Syrian refugee population in the cities.
