Hamadeh Abu Najmeh to Al-Mufakkira, "There can be no justice for the victim unless they have recourse to the judiciary."
In an interview with Al-Mofakera, Hamada Abu Nijmeh, Director of the Workers' House Organization and former Secretary-General of the Jordanian Ministry of Labor, detailed the issues confronting Jordan's Anti-Human Trafficking Law. He stated that the law, which was implemented in 2009, had various flaws that hinder it from efficiently achieving its objectives. The most significant of these flaws include the inadequacy of identifying offenses related to human trafficking, the lack of a clear characterization of the victim, and the lack of protective measures. Abu Nijmeh also emphasized the significance of changing the law to provide better methods for victims, such as establishing a dedicated fund to pay them.
