Policy Paper 2026 Facilitating Licensing Procedures for Tourism Projects in Ajloun Governorate Towards a Legislative and Institutional Environment Supportive of Investment in the Tourism Sector
Ajloun Governorate is one of the most important tourist destinations in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, owing to its rich natural, historical, and cultural heritage assets. In addition to its dense green forests, moderate climate, and rugged mountains that are well-suited for adventure tourism, the governorate is home to more than 280 tourist, archaeological, and religious sites, making it a remarkable natural and historical open-air museum.
In recent years, Ajloun has witnessed significant development in its tourism infrastructure, most notably the launch of the Ajloun Cable Car Project in June 2023.
