35% the ability of Jordanian women to exercise their rights without discrimination
This artile addresses the World Bank report entitled "Women, Labor and Law 2019: Decade of Reform", which includes 8 indicators of assessment: mobility, entry into the labor market, salary, marriage, reproduction, work management, and asset management. By focusing on Jordan, the report showed that women in Jordan face the greatest discrimination when they wish to enter the labor market, followed by discrimination related to marriage, reproduction, mobility and get paid, while women face lesser challenges in terms of asset and property management.
Jordan is one of the countries with the lowest participation rate in the labor market in the world, reaching 14% in Jordan compared with 19% in Iraq and 23% in Lebanon, according to the World Bank report.
