Gendering the Jordanian Parliament Research Center
The aim of this study was to identify the knowledge,attitudes and practices of the MPs in the 18th Council on gender issues using a mixed approach: qualitative and quantitative. In order to achieve the objectives of the study,a comprehensive survey was conducted with 18 members of the Council within a specific timeframe. The research team succeeded in holding qualified candidates with 81 MPs out of 13 MPs. Individual interviews were held with experts in the legislative,parliamentary and women's affairs in order to benefit from these experiences. In the design of the comprehensive survey form. Individual interviews were held with a group of MPs to provide an explanation for some of the issues that emerged from the comprehensive survey. A dialogue session was held with MPs to present the results of the comprehensive survey and to hear their views and recommendations.
