Jordan - Household Expenditures and Income Survey 2010

Summary

This survey report,provided by Jordan's Department of Statistics,served as one component of a larger Economic Research Forum project to measure the magnitude and direction of change in equity and inequality within the Middle East region. In particular,this survey provides quantitative data on household expenditure,income,and their relationship with different indicators. This survey was conducted in order to: collect data on income and expenditure to enable computation of poverty indices and determine the characteristics of the poor and prepared poverty maps; provide the data necessary for the formulation,follow-up,and evaluation of economic and social development programs; and calculate the average annual income of the household and the individual,and identify the relationship between income and such socio-economic factors as profession and education level.
