On 11 March 22,the WHO declared the novel coronavirus that causes the disease COVID-19 a global pandemic. The global response to the threat has been coordinated by the WHO,which has led global preparedness and response planning and provided technical expertise to a wide range of national efforts to adopt measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 and mitigate its impact.
