Status of Violence Against Women in Jordan
Summary
This report,published by the National Council for Family Affairs in cooperation with all its partners,who constitute the National Team for Family Protection Against Violence,aims to give the issue of gender-based violence national prominence by studying the status of violence against women and the role played by national institutions involved in this area. The Council’s quest,closely mirrored by the content of this report,is to identify the size of the problem and come out with national concepts and practical recommendations that contribute to enhancing coordination among the institutions involved in protecting the family against violence and mobilizing support to develop national protection and prevention programs.
