World Employment and Social Outlook: Trends for women 2017
This report seeks to take a look at today’s global economy and how the vast disparities in terms of gender gaps in the labour market through analysing various vase studies by region. A key finding in this report is that the discrepancy between women and men in the workforce is negatively affecting the GDP's potential. It highlights that this gap is even larger in developing countries,suggesting that making the workforce more accessible to women,women it is not merely a call to social action,but economic reform. While this gender segregation continues to grow along the lines of occupational segregation,pay disparities and social norms,if it is addressed successfully,it would improve the overall local,national and global economy.
