Towards a new partnership between government and youth in Jordan

Summary

The discussion paper provides a synthesis of the public governance challenges raised by the various stakeholders interviewed during the fact-finding process. Based on a descriptive analysis,it offers a first assessment whether and to what degree the legal, institutional and policy framework and practices result in youth-responsive policy outcomes.
For each of the ten areas identified, the paper presents good practices from OECD member countries. The paper will provide a basis to discuss the priority areas which should be covered by the OECD Review, redirect the analysis where necessary, and clarify potential information gaps.
