Summary

This report summarizes the results of the population and family health survey in Jordan in 29,conducted by the Department of Statistics. This survey was carried out within the Demographic and Health Surveys program,which was designed to collect data on reproductive,family planning,maternal health,infant and child mortality,and nutritional status of women and children. The survey sample is nationally representative and was designed to produce estimates of major survey variables at the national level,for urban and rural areas,for each of the three regions (Central,North,and South) and 12 governorates,and for the Badia and non-Badia areas. Almost 15, households and 1, ever-married women age 15 to 49 were interviewed.
