 PDF file screenshot
Summary

The paper explores the rights of labor or labour workers in Jordan, focusing on those working in the informal economic sector.  The labor force in the informal sector is generally not accounted for and is considered within the unemployed, according to the Department of Statistics (DOS).  Moreover, some unofficial studies indicate that the informal sector accounts for about 2. percent of the Jordanian GDP and employs about 25. percent of the workers.  Furthermore, this report identifies the factors that impede the labor market in the informal economy of Jordan from enjoying their rights and outlines recommendations to tackle their rights.
